Expiratory Wheeze
(If you breathe with the sound, you can
feel the accessory muscles being used
to force the expelled air through the
constricted airways.)
Inspiratory and wheeze (This is a severe wheeze,
almost to the point of stridor. If this wheeze can
be heard without the stethoscope, then it would
be called stridor.)
Inspiratory crackles (Breathe with the sound
and notice the depth and rate of respirations.
These slow, deep respirations may be
indicative of 'Kussmaul Respirations.' What
condition might your patient be exhibiting if
this is Kussmaul breathing?)
